No.210 is a free hand kolam for the Karthigai Deepam festival that will be celebrated next week. An important festival in Tamil Nadu. Like Deepavali, there is a practice of bursting crackers and lighting of deepams (oil lamps) for this festival also.
Another important festival in this month is Uttandwadasi that is celebrated in some parts of India. Tulsi Vivah (marriage of Tulsi plant and Lord Vishnu ) is the highlight of this festival.
