Pongal rangoli designs | Wedding kolam

In one of the earlier posts I shared the original design with 18 dots.  This is a smaller and easier idea for the same design

The dot pattern used in 14 dots 2 rows ,  then from 12 to 2 on either side

Draw two lines vertically as shown on either side with two columns of dots in between

Similarly draw two horizontal lines

Another step in the kolam ,  leaving two rows or columns of dots

After complete decorate inside as shown

The remaining dots in the remaining squares are used by separating them with lines as shown.

On four sides at the edges we have some dots they are used as shown in the picture below

When I shared an 18 dot version of this kolam called Kalyana medai ,  a follower on Facebook requested for a smaller version.  So I created this design with 14 dots.  Such a beautiful traditional kolam with just lines and dots .  We can decorate with kaavi to get an awesome effect.  It is called so because it represents a wedding stage.  So if you are looking for a traditional decoration for the wedding stage this can definitely be used to adorn it.
